Fintech firm Cantaloupe has acquired POS tech startup Cheq in a strategic move to boost its market presence. Cantaloupe plans to integrate CHEQ’s mobile ordering and payment systems into its suite of self-service solutions for stadiums, entertainment venues, festivals, hospitality, theme parks, and restaurants. The acquisition will allow Cantaloupe to expand its addressable market and enhance its technology offerings. Cantaloupe currently processes over a billion transactions annually across more than a million active locations worldwide.
