Egyptian fintech company Paymob has become the first international fintech firm to be fully licensed in Oman after receiving the Central Bank of Oman’s Payment Service Provider (PSP) license. The license authorizes Paymob to accept and process online and in-store payments in Oman, allowing merchants in the country to accept both local and cross-border payments through Paymob’s gateway. The PSP license was granted to Paymob after it complied with all the regulatory requirements set out by the Central Bank of Oman. Paymob, which offers over 40 payment solutions through its omnichannel gateway, has raised $50 million in Series B funding and has empowered over 250,000 merchants with access to digital financial services.
