The banking sector is the most trusted industry when it comes to consumer digital trust, according to a report by Thales. The report surveyed over 12,000 consumers globally about their relationship with online brands, privacy expectations, and trust in various sectors. Other sectors that scored highly for trust were healthcare and government services, while media and entertainment, social media, and logistics were among the least trusted. The survey found that over a quarter of consumers had abandoned a brand in the past year due to privacy concerns. Additionally, the report highlighted the importance of delivering a seamless online experience, with advertising pop-ups, password resets, and the need to re-enter personal information all named as frustrations.
Thales finds banking rules consumer digital trust in latest study.
